audio clarification

    Simple question...I'm using Clonedvd2. Say my final movie is going to be 70%...is only the picture quality affected by the compression? or is the audio stream(s) affected also? Thanks....

    I think I read somewhere that the audio can't be compressed, so I think it's just the picture.
