Hello all, i am using virtual dub and when i try to add .wav audio in full processing mode when i save the avi within 1 second of the save i get the error in the title "Audio Compression Manager (ACM) Failure on Compress" and the video stops rendering. I also get this same error in nandub. However, the movie rips just fine if no audio is selected or if direct stream copy is selected. Also the audio compression is with mpeg layer-3. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated! Also this problem just happened out of the blue. The day before all was working perfectly... Also i am running windows XP Pro. Thanks in advance! :)

I had this happen to me also, but only with one movie that had a problem.. the rest of my movies don't have this problem, so I assumed it was just a problem with it and moved on.

I take it that you are having this problem with all .avi files with .mp3 streams? Also, you are going to audio, then full processing mode, then conversion, and 16bit stereo high quality? Have you tried also the "save wav" option?

FYI, my only option when I ran into this problem with Virtual Dub and Nandub (Nandub seems to be the same as Vdub except a few extra options), I ended up using the AVI input functions of DVD2SVCD in order to have it extract the audio instead.. I'm not sure what it uses to extract, but it worked for me.

    Best of luck!
