Is there a way to compress audio while capturing video? I have use only PCM-format because others doesnt work.. I use DivX 5.x codec. With PCM audio takes a huge part of the movie size. Is there a way to use DivX with MP3 or other good codec for audio?

If you have a Good Mp3 codec installed you should be able to compress the audio to Mp3 in Real time but I think it would be better to capture with the Wav audio and after Captureing Compress the audio to Mp3 useing V-Dub....

Just go into the audio compression Settings in V-Dub and select your Format and Bitrate.....

I have MP3 in the codec list, but when ever I choose it for capture, it crach my computer. I'll try to compress audio after the capture, but are there other similar codecs that would work better with Virtualdub?

Well You can try installing a Different MP3 codec but becides that Wav or Uncompressed Audio are really the Only Choices...

Maybe Try Installing the Lame Mp3 codec and see if you can capture with that codec...

    You can get it here:

    Cheers
