While converting VCD/SVCD's I like to convert the auido to the all around DVD player friendly wav/pcm (44 to 48k)formats. When I do this the audio is now obviously longer and thus it won't fit . I tried to time stretch using Soundforge alas it never quite works! Is there some kind fo formula where I can perfectly sync the audio properly? I assumed that the audio should be the same length as the video? Please help me cuz I'm pulling out my hair over this.

Are you converting *to* vcd? Your post is
ambiguous. If so what are you converting from?
In general, time stretch is not necessary.

It's only used in specific cases, sucha s when
    doing a PAL 25fps > NTSC 23.976 encode.
