Need a simple way to increase audio in an AVI file - to burn and play on my Philips Divx player (some are way to low to hear).

    Used Virtual Dub:
    - Loaded AVI in
    - Video - set to "Direct Stream"
    - Audio - set to "Full Processing"
    - Audio-Volume - increased volume

This increases size from 700M to 1.5G - which is OK, but creates either a sync problem to voice - or sometimes no audio at all.

Anyone have any suggestions? Tried using nandub - same results.

Are you selecting an audio compressor - else it's uncompressed output.

Didn't select an audio compressor - comes out PCM which doubles the file size. This then gives me a slight sync problem most of the time.

If it gives a sync problem, use audio/interleave skew correction
to either advance or retard the audio.
