I am using Windows XP with SP2. I used Nero 8.3.2 Nero Vision to burn 2 AVI titles to a DVD. When I play back the DVD on 2 of my XP laptops and 1 Windows Vista laptop, using Windows Media Player or the Windows Media Centre, the video plays fine but there's no audio signal. However, when I play the same DVD on the same laptops using VideoLAN's VLC Media Player, it plays with both, the audio and the video. My DVD player at home is currently having some problems so I am not able to test if the DVD plays on it, but I'd like it to. Help appreciated.
Check the Control Panel to see if 'AC3filter' is installed - if not, you can download from Afterdawn http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ac3filter.cfm
