Hi, I have studio headphones and when I connect them to the pc I only hear sound in the left one but not in the right one aswell. The sound is integrated on my MBO, AC97, I have the drivers and there's no conflict between devices I just wanna know is there a fix for it. Thank You.
ok here's another question how do I stop windows from automatically installing drivers that I don't want it to install?
I do not believe your problem is the driver. This problem is most likely a hardware problem either 1.)the head phones are bad 2.)bad connection or 3.)The sound card is bad. With your second question, what operating system are u running.
I don't get this if I use "normal" headphones (like the ones used with mp3 players)and plug them into pc the sound is ok, if I use studio headphones it works only on the left side like mono but no stereo.
i would make sure the connector is pushed all the way in and twist it around with the head phone on. If you hear any change in sound it is probably a pad connection. You may also want to play with the wires as well. If the sound is fine with other head phones then it is not the driver or sound card. Maybe the wiring on studio head phones are different?
My studio headphones have a connector somewhat like this: so I had to buy an audio adapter to switch it to a normal size one, but if the studio headphones are the issue then why are they working flawlessly on the laptop? I think it has something to do with my motherboard cause it's old and the laptop is brand new. Old=crap new=good
but you did say that if you plug regular head phones in they work. Play some music, and while you're listening move the conection around and see if the one side comes on at any time. Maybe the connection is tighter or cleaner on the laptop b/c it is new.
I just made a conclusion, my MBO is probably too old to handle this kind of headphones, in result I can hear a sound only in the left headphone, well sc*** it nvm, close this thread. thx [bold]jctrumps[/bold] for help.
