I converted a .TiVo file to .AVI with DirectShow
    Dump and then used ConvertXtoDVD.
WMP and my standalone DVD player reproduce voices that sound like the robot voice on old sci-fi movies. The Nero player reproduces the voices correctly. Any ideas?

Thank you for the info but I believe that this product is for a PC based player to playback. I need to correct the problem in front of the burn instead of after the burn. If i carry a DVD to my dad's house to show him something, I don't want to add anything to his PC. Also, I want to be able to play the DVD in a standalone player. If k-lite will also repair whatever is wrong with the encoding, please correct me and i'll give it a go.

So, are you saying that it is only necessary for the conversion....and not necessary for it to be on the machine playing the DVD?

OK, then this solution doesn't solve my problem. But thank you for your time anyway.
