I had an .avi file and used TmpgEnc to convert it to one .mpg file that has both audio and video.

Anyways, Im now trying to use TmpgEnc DVD author so that i can burn it to a dvd, but my Audio_ts file always comes back empty, though my video_ts folder is fine. So even if i try to burn there is no audio at all.

The AUDIO_TS folder is supposed to be empty on a DVD-Video disc. All the Video and Audio is contained in the .VOB files in the VIDEO_TS folder.

If the .mpg file created by TMPGEnc has audio, then when it is authored using TMPGEnc DVD Author it should still have the audio.

Have you tried playing the DVD files that TMPGEnc DVD Author create on your hard drive? Is there audio at that point?

How are you burning the DVD? Are you using the DVD Author to burn or Nero or something else?

How are you playing the DVD after it is burned? Are you playing it in your burner using a software DVD player or on a stand alone DVD player? Have you checked the audio settings of your player?
