I have wasted two cd-r's trying to burn a 'tekno-ish' audio cd(Jet Set Radio) from downloaded mp3's using Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4. The volume level is not consistent between the files,(one is especially quiet) but that isn't the main problem. When I burned the cd the straight from the mp3's they didn't sound right. I can only describe it by saying that the bass seemed to high and was 'drowning out' the top end. This is not just myself nitpicking, I listened to the cd and the source mp3's side by side and noted a loss of sound quality. I tried to remedy this by converting the mp3's to .wav's to normalize the volume level, but the new cd sounds even worse. The .wav's sound flat with no bass 'bump' at all.

Does anyone know how I can burn these files to an audio cd without losing quality?

    NOTE: $0.00 budget

get yourself feurio @ www.feurio.com . it is shareware but it is fully working (just have to put up with nag screens). It is the best audio cd software out there.. It's one of the few softwares out there worth buying.
