I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem I am having. I have read that TMPGENC's audio quality isnt the best when converting to DVD and I read that you can use another program to convert the audio to a better quality. For example the video file i have uses mpeg-1 layer 3 audio and i've read that AC3 is a better format to use. So is it possible to convert the audio with another program and just the video with TMPGENC and then somehow combine those and then burn to dvd.... if so how would I do this??? Sorry for the lack of knowledge as I am a newbie at this. Thanks

do you have xpress? just get the ac3 plugin, ac3 just means it uses the ac3 codec wich is the suround sound codec. anything non ac3 will just be sterio
