I am pretty sure others have already asked this question, but I did a quick thread search and was unable to find anything specific. I have no problem burning audio discs (MP3/Wav etc) using CD-R (700MB / 80 mins) discs. The problem with this is that this allows 15 to 19 songs depending. I understand that if you wished to record more songs on the disc you lose quality ( I don't know how to do this but..) I have 3 subsequent questions: 1) Can you get CD-R discs or similar that are larger than 700MB & if so will this enable you to record more than 80 Mins of music; or 2) Is there a way of compressing or shrinking the music (like a DVD movie) which is then able to be played on my Yamaha Stereo); or 2) Is it possible to record MP3 music (for instance) on a DVD-R disc (4.7GB) or similar, I must admit I have tried but NERO advises that I need CD-R disc. Appreciate advice Don
Hi whats up now about your question first off if i understood what you said correctly mp3 cd-r can hold a lot more songs than 20 probably more like 200 if not more, but for your other questions 1)not that i know of but hey i might be wrong. 2)as far as i know mp3 is the highest in compression. 3)yes you can make a mp3 dvd and there are lots of software that will do this i know nero does should be able to go to dvd than mp3 inside express or whatever you have, or at least mine does but remember you can't play these in a cd player or drive, only dvd players and drives hope this helps some.
First - Appreciate your response. I know you can save more than 20 MP3 songs on a 700MB CD-R disc, but as far as I have worked out to date, these songs (and yes approx 200) are stored as DATA not songs, which can not be played on my stero or portable CD player. It does play on my computer. Nero stores 15-20 songs approx as an AUDIO disc, which can be played on my stero or any CD player. Appreciate your advice about the DVD disc and DVD audio device. I have a SONY Walkman which has 1 GB discs on which I can transfer MP3 files and I can play this through my stero as an auxillary. I guess I will have to settle for this... Thank You Once again for your expertise & advice. Don
Hey no prob for the advice but as far as expertise goes not even close considering i completly missunderstood the question as I thought I did I reread the post and realized im an idiot hahaha. And I do have the same problem with my optimus cd disk changer not playing (mp3\wav)etc.
