after reading several different threads, i used divx to dvd, as recommended by several people, to encode pal to ntsc to sync up the audio. still no luck. i've been using nero for well over a year and have had nothing but problems since the april '05 upgrade. i found my original disc and i also had the january upgrade, so i did a re-install, used the original avi file (before re-encoding) and it's a miracle, the audio is in perfect sync with the video (in preview mode just before burning). but now the problem is that the entire project will not fit on a single layer disc. it prompts "do you want to have the project quality reduced automatically so that your project will fit into the available space", so of coarse i click yes, but it does not shrink it down enough to fit, as does the newer versions of nerovision (which does reduce the size enough to fit). so what gives!!! the older version of nerovision does everything great but does not fit on a disc and the newer version of nerovision (since april '05) fits the project on a disc but audio is well out of sync with video (on alot of files). i really appreciate everyone who responds and your time. also, does anyone know of another good dvd authoring program? i really like nero alot, but these problems are getting out of hand.
If the old Nero does everything fine but the files are too big, then burn using Image Recorder and save it to an .iso file. Then just do a backup with DVD Shrink to fit it on DVD5.
