Hi, I recently had to adjust some out of sync audio on some mkv video files, but now things have become more complicated. After checking most of my other video files, including recorded tv from my DVB-T usb stick, I've found more and more out of sync files, they are only out of sync by -200 to +200 mili-seconds but it seems very strange that I'm finding more and more. I know they were in sync because some have been authored to dvd and were ok and most are stored on an external hard drive, what I really need to know is could this be a faulty audio component on the motherboard?, I'm not sure if this is possible but considering that they were all in sync and are now out, is this possible. I could have damaged my motherboard after resetting the cmos by changing a jumper, I forgot to change it back and turned my computer on which may have damaged my board, any thoughts are much appreciated, sorry for the long post, thanks.
Are the ones on DVD (I assume they play ok on the standalone) still in sync when played back on the PC.
Yes the ones I put on dvd for a friend are in sync and I'm sure they played on my PC in sync but now for some reason they are out, just by a few hundred milli-seconds, maybe putting them on to my external hard drive caused the problem. Just strange how I've been getting more and more sync issues and now after checking my other files I've found more, some just seem a fraction out but this may just be me, eye strain after checking so many videos, thanks for the reply
