I am using Nero 7.2.3.2b to burn downloaded avi files (TV episodes) to DVD and have been experiencing audio sync problems. However, when I burn the files to VCD I don't get the audio sync problem. Same file, same program, just different formats. Does anyone know why? This may point to a solution for my audio sync problem when burning DVDs.
This seems to be a common error with this version of Nero7, uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install this older more stable version, 7.0.8.2 from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
Thanks for the suggestion. One proposed solution which I found in another site involves disabling certain Nero filters by executing the following commands: Start > Run > regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeAudio.ax Start > Run > regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax Believe it or not, this actually works in solving the audio sync problems when burning AVIs to DVD with Nero. What are NeAudio.ax and NeVideo.ax needid for?
Thanks for getting back withyour results, I will pass that info on and see if it helps others who are experiencing this problem To be honest, I wouldnt have a clue!
I unregisters the Nero filters and I was finally able to successfully encode AVI to DVD. I first encode to hardrive and then burn to disk. The couldn't play the folder on the PC, but after burning to DVD I was able to watch the video and the audio was insync! Hurray! Thanks for the tip!
Unregistering the Nero filters works in solving the audio sync problem. Another solution that also works is to force the Nero mpeg-4 codecs to expire (this works for Nero 6). To do this, I set my system clock back one month (two months if you want to be sure), install Nero, and then reset the system clock back to the current date. Now, whenever you try to burn an avi file to DVD, you will get a pop-up notification telling you that the mpeg-4 codecs have expired and asking you whether you would like to purchase. Simply click cancel and then proceed as usual. You will get a DVD where the sound and video are perfectly in sync. I have no idea why these solutions work, but they do. Also, I don't know if disabling the filters affects other programs in the Nero suite. However, if all you want is to solve the audio sync problem, then this is the way to go until Nero acknowledges this problem and comes up with a fix.
Hi, i'm running Nero V6, and i'm having problems with audio sync too. My process is: Run the downloaded file through VSO Divx to DVD, then run the converted file through nero. The original file is fine, but the converted file is out of sync. Anyone know how I go about changing my system clock to see if this works. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi - also having sync problems with avis. Followed these steps:- Start > Run > regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeAudio.ax Start > Run > regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax Didn't work I have uninstalled the buggy Nero 7 and tried to download the version that was linked, but the server keeps resetting! When I finally managed to download it (after the server resetting around 10 times) it was corrupted.... Any ideas?
I got a message appear on screen when I tried to run the istallation saying that some files were corrupted and I couldn't run the program.
