Hi I am trying to convert a rm file to avi using TinraGUI1.4 and Tinra005 in a full frame uncompressed format. The conversion goes fine but the audio is going ahead of the video...I tried to search in this forum but could not find anything helpful.

Please let me know any possible solutions or other ways of converting rm files to avi or mpeg. I want to burn them as VCD later using TmpgEnc . Thanks.

    Try doing this instead.

You will need TMPGEnc and EO Video

    TMPGEnc - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/tmpgenc.cfm

    EO Video - http://207.218.219.92/files/v13/setup.exe

First install and open EO Video. You will see a file browser on the left and a playlist on the right. Use the file browser to navigate to the folder containing the .rm file! when you get to the foler the file should be listed beside the file browser. Drag to accoss to the playlist on the right. Now click the "converter" tab located at the lower left hand corner of the program.

Change Output format to MPEG. Change compression to VCD(MPEG), you might have to use the scroller to see it! Now choose PAL or NTSC, take PAL for Europe/Austrailia and NTSC for North America/Japan.

Now click the round output button on the left hand side of the prog. Borwse for a place to save the file under destination folder. Then type the output filename with .mpg as the extension! Now click the round convert button. Click Start and it should convert it to a vcd mpeg file!

You can then use Nero or whatever burning software to burn it as vcd!
