i seem helpless now! due to synch problem... the captured video is fine, but whenever i render it into mpeg2 for dvd burning, the result is delayed audio...i notice this after abt 10 min of running time. why is this so? but when mpeg1 for vcd its ok?
i hav defragmented my drive, i use built in snd card, leadtek xp2000 on axp 2400barton mobile with epox 8rdg.

I have heard of this problem with Leadtech TV Cards and from what I remember it is a Problem with the Capture Software...Maybe try something like "WinDVR 3.0" to capture directly to Mpeg2 for DVD and you shouldn"t get any sync problems....

Sync problems can also happen when you have a Sound card that captures audio useing a different Time Clock as the Capture card so over a Period of time the audio and Video slowly drifts apart..Most good Capture Software can compensate for this Problem...

Some Mpeg2 Capture Programs add Padding to the Video and audio streams to compensate for Dropped Frames and the audio and Video time lag but when the Mpeg2 file get Processed for DVD authoring this Padding that was keeping the 2 streams in Sync gets removed which causes the File to go out of Sync again....

There have been quite a few poeple on this Forum with this same Problem useing the Same Capture device and software and most all of them solved it by useing different Capture software...

    well good Luck

I am having the same problem using DVGate Motion by Sony for capture and Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0 for editing and rendering and converting to MPEG2. All audio sync is OK at this point. When I go into Ulead Movie Factory and create the DVD, The audio sync is ahead of the video from 0 sec. at the start to 6 sec. plus at the end of the 78 min. video.
Is WinDVR3.0 the only answer? It seems unreal that a problem as big as this has not been resolved by Sony and other vendors.

Well it seems that the audio is going out of Sync in DVD Movie Factory so maybe try a Different DVD authoring program.....
I use DVDLab and Haven"t had any problems with it and you can download a 30 day demo off the Net and it has Very Good Menu features.....
