I was watching a movie that I had backed up the other day and noticed in the middle of it the audio went slightly out of sync for about 30-45 seconds. it went back to normal fast so its not that big of a deal but i was wondering what can cause that?

    Hi Nick1814
Could be the media and/or burn speed.
Try burning at 1/2 the rated speed of the media and use the good stuff like Verbatim or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

If your burners firmware isn't up to date - update it too. You can check the manufacturers site or http://rpc1.org to see if there is a later version. Just search by the make and model.

I've been trying to update the firmware on this thing for awhile but I can't find the download. the computer says that its a Optiarc ND-3570 A, but I can't find anything for that. I didnt buy it separatley but it came with the computer when i bought it online (dell XPS).

Dell will be the ones supporting this drive more than likely so you would need to check their site to see if any are available. There may not be.
You would go to support then the drivers & downloads section and put in you pc model and os and check under removable storage.
