Audio Synching Problem - After I 'fixed' it, it works fine ONLY if I don't start from the very beginning.

I obtained a file which had been split into two files. The second half had an audio synching problem, so I got VirtualDub and installed DivX Pro, and ended up delaying the audio by 320 ms. Now, if I just open the file and play it from the beginning it still has a synching problem, but if I seek to any place in the file the audio is dead on. This isn't really a big deal, because I can just start the movie one second in and it works. However, it is a miner irritation and if I can fix it I would like to do so. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks for your help in advance.

BTW, this the two players I used were DivX Alpha 2.0 and WinAmp. I have the DivX codec installed and the Tsunami filter pack installed if any of that matters.

I had the same problem in the past. I stopped using any DivX player and obtained a copy of Windows Media Player 6.4 and it cleared up the sync problem
