Wondered if some kind soul could give a newbie a bit of advice. Basically I have a video file in avi format with two audio streams. stream 1 is in Spanish which I do not understand and stream2 which is in English. I want to remove stream 1 from the file and then use my normal method to author the file using TMPGEnc 4 then TMPGEnc 3 to burn the result to a DVD-R. I know it is a convoluted way but hey... I have tried to use a TMPGEnc 4 filter but it does not achieve this. Many Thanks Antony
Load the AVI in VirtualDubMod. Select 'Streams' from main menu and disable the audio. Check 'Video' from main menu and verify that it is 'Direct stream copy' Click 'File' and save as a new AVI.
Right company...wrong program. Use TMPGEnc DVD Author 3. Does it all. http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda3.html
Thank you for the help and advice it is much appreciated. It was the VirtualDubMod methodology which I found easiest to achieve the desired result. I dare say that TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 could probably achieve the same result also. Without wishing to be a pain I have another query, which is conversion of frame rate from either 23.98fps or 29.97fps to 25.00fps without the slight jerkyness I get when using TMPGEnc. I have contacted the company who say that framerate conversion is not one of the program strengths. Nice of them to be honest. Is there a painless way to achieve this? Again many thanks
There is a reference here to using TMPGenc to convert NTSC to PAL. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f32/ntsc-pal-help-please-69655/#post517046
Many thanks to all the kind souls who took the time to answer my queries. I have found that, via the suggested thread, the procoder3 app seems to change the frame rate without too much problems. Again many thanks. Antony
