I am attempting to burn a 375mb video file to VCD. The audio and video are in sync when watching the videos on my computer with WMP 10. However, when the disc has burned, the video and audio are in sync for about 15 minutes and then they are off by about 4-5 seconds for the rest of the video. I am using Nero 7.5.7.0. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you in advance.
By "utility" I assume you mean burner as I have mentioned the software. (Nero 7.5.7.0) I am using a Sony CD-RW CRX140E. The file is an AVI file with the following specs: Image: 624px by 352px Audio: Duration 00:43:06 Bit Rate 126kbps Format MPEG Layer-3 Video: Framerate 23 frames/sec Daterate 138kbps Again, the video plays correctly when viewed on my system, but not after the burn. Thank you for your help.
My apologies - as for the settings - the standard settings with Nero as I have not changed a single thing. (Well, I didn't add a menu when burning the VCD, that's it.) Is there one specific setting you might be looking for?
The utility I was looking for would have been NeroVision 4 or Nero Burning ROM or whatever you are actually burning with. Nero 7 has so many, it is hard to keep track. Nero 7 has had many problems with .avi files and audio sync. If you search the forum, you will find many references. It seems to effect mostly divX type files, but I don't have any personal experience with them. It might be suggested you try to convert the files first using a non-Nero utility like ConvertX and then use Nero to burn, but look through the forum and the Guides to see if anything will help. You might check the thread below, but try not to delete the file completely in case you need it again. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/421182
