I have started using Winamp v5 on my system and I'm quite happy with its functionality but I've noticed (even with Winamp v3 and earlier) that I have to use considerably more base volume on my sound card/volume control as opposed to WMP 9. Now, this is'nt anything more than a little annoying as when I quit the program I have to remember to reset my volume control or nearly blow myself out of the room if I load another program ie: Game. Is this normal? I have a Sounblaster Live Value card, which I realise is becoming a bit long in the tooth but is there a 'fix' for this behaviour?
I imagine you could use the graphic equalizer in WINAMP to boost the sound so you dont have to mess with the overall volume
no problems =) took me a while to get to grips with all the options on winamp at first didnt expect so much from a small free player to be honest
