audio works on stand alone DVD but not on computer

I am trying to show a dvd on the pc, but there is no audio. on a stand alone dvd player, the audio works fine. the disk does show a audio_ts file. all other audio and dvd's working fine on computers. any thoughts?

 

The AUDIO_TS folder on a DVD is empty - the actual movie audio is included with the video files.
A software player like VLC or MPC Home Cinema should play it ok.

try selecting the right audio track in whatever media player it is you are using.. IF the only audio is on track 2 instead of being on 1 or 0 a pc player often won't output any sound.. a standalone usually has the audio output set by default to "auto" if it only finds one audio stream.
