I have an AVI that has an audio track horribly out of sync. I've been using TFM beta 1.5.0.173, which has been working like a champ. There is a "delay AC3 audio" option, however the audio is PRECEEDING the video, so I assume this will not help. The field will not accept a negative value. I'm relatively new to this, so is there a quick/easy way to remedy this issue? Thanks in advance!! THC
Try running it through a program called divfix that can fix most errors/corrupted sectors of avi files.
Try this free app, AVI-MUX GUI. It reads the avi and tells you the MS delay needed and will correct it on save as etc... drag and drop your avi into top window, highlight with mouse, then click button underneath stats... then highlight the bottom it just loaded in and it will show you the ms delay (if there is one?) then all you do is click save as, and it makes a new file/AVI http://img158.imageshack.us/my.php?image=untitled4ey.jpg Or Try this: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889 It too is free and here's how you fix: Load movie in virtualdubmod. Go to streams menu, click stream list. Right click audio file and select Intereleaving. Fix audio by changing values under audio skew correction. We are working with milliseconds here so 1000ms =1 second. Audio desynch is 5 seconds so 5 x 1000 =5000 Enter 5000. Remember: if the audio is playing too late use negative values. if audio is playing too early use positive. Go into video menu and select Direct Stream Copy. Save AVI.
------------------------------------------------------------------ QUOTE: In the delay AC3 audio you can use a positive number if the audio is preceeding the video. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Isn't that what it says above?
