auto installer deluxe

why is everybody tlking about auto installer deluxe on how to get to your old ms dashboard. i never used auto inst. deluxe to get to the evol.x dash.b all i did was run the linux saves on the hd. but now i cant get on live. i dont now why it wont let me get on.

Also, if you d/l AID, it comes w/ a guide on how to use it...I think it was a horrible guide. Then I came across a better tutorial. It's actually at 2 sites. For the tutorial on how to install AID 2.11 go to www.se7en-sins.tk ( I think they just updated the tutorial a lil bit...since its different than the one at www.teammodders.com, but who knows, I would check out both). They both have how to burn it to disc and what not.
I hope this helps those that have no clue what AID is and especially how you burn it and then start installing everything w/ it!

Oh, lastly, mishifus, don't read the full tut at those sites. Just read how to burn it to disc and then pm me back and I'll look into how to install the ms dash (I know how, its just been awhile so I can't recall it from off the top of my head).

i dont get wut to do next i dl auto inst. deluxe 2.11 and i ran it and i get this weird program called u torrent thats pops up with auto installer deluxe 2.11 in the box. wut do i do know read the tutorials.

 

You need to learn how to d/l torrents. I think there are tutorials here that tell you how to do it. If I come across one, I'll put the link. but there is one at the se7en-sins site.

Yeah, look around this site. There is a tutorial on how to make the torrents faster. torrent do take a while...but you should be able to d/l it faster.

 

hey ok u can continue to do it that way but i strongly suggest not to remember me? well today i found a guy on live who sent me some different linux for sc. and its alot easier and u dont need auto installer or softmod installer and im all the way up to the point where i can almost put modded maps on my xbox i just need to learn how to resign them so if u want my help just pm and ill give u my aim trust me its alot easier this way

 

Alright bro, you're new and you do not know the powers of AID. AID is probably the best you can get (others may say slayers is, but its the same concept). There are MORE options given w/ aid since its 600 mb. It auto-installs the ms dash, softmod, modded dash, applications, emulators, etc. So there is more things you can do w/ AID that you can't with the linux files (which are nearly 8 mb...). And to resign your map, look for coolspots map resigner or SameSig2 or just find modding tools 1.3 somewhere.

 

i didnt mean to talk down on aid... im sure it is a better program and exactly i am new to this and so is this guy... and they way i did it is alot easier and simplar to understand and im still able to play modded maps on live so i dont think i need aid but later on if i wnat to expand or customise my xbox more then i will use aid if i ever learn how to use it

 

wut do u mean it better than the linux save. do i really need to go and to the aid b/c i already used the linux and now i have the evo.x dash.b wut is the difference and if i really should get aid than i need a really good tutorial on how to insall it please. and wouldi need to uninstall somehow (i dont now how i would have to uninstall it) than i need to now how

Well, if you are content w/ how your xbox is now and all you wanted to use it for was cheat on xbl, I would leave it alone. But if you wanted to play some classic games such as Contra (NES), Sonic (Genesis), Mario (NES), etc. then I would suggest getting aid. AID also comes w/ many other features to it. And now that you have your softmod installed, this is what you would do (just showing how fast and easy it is):
Insert a disc
Choose which option you want (such as Install all apps which is one click or install all emulators, etc)
Let it install
You are done

haha yeah, that easy. If you need a more in depth tutorial on how to use aid, or even how to acquire it and get it to a disc, try the tutorial at www.se7en-sins.tk (thats what I used to get my disc working).

Which linux are you using help? If you wanted SID 3.0 and tutorials on how to use them, that se7en-sins site has tutorials and the files as well. If you are new to modding the xbox and halo 2, I would check that site out.
