I received a 120GB hard drive for Christmas and want to start playing games directly from that instead of from the discs since I've managed to break about 5 from moving the XBOX while the disc is in motion. Is there a way to automatically load a game that is saved on the HD. I know you need to have the disc in the console to load, but I don't want the game to load, me go back to the marketplace, and reload it from the hard drive. Any help is appreciated.
I was wondering the same thing. My drive is very quite and i couldnt tell weather it was spinning the drive or not. Maybe it just automatically loads from the hd when you have it installed? Like you, i know how to find it in the dashboard and manually do it but its a pia.
it will automatically play it from the HD if its installed there. or on the 'my xbox' tab, you can just click Y for game details, and select play from HD.
That's how I always do it too. Just to be safe. You would think that once you install it to your hdd that it'll automatically play from there, but this is MS we're talking about so I always just select "play from hdd".
