I work in an electronics store, and for sanity purposes need our DVD to repeat throughout the day without having to press play every time it ends. So far I've used DVD Shrink to backup one of store use discs, but it seems to just stop at the end, leaving only the player brand visible on the TVs, whereas commercial discs at least return to the main menu, a much prettier moving menu instead of the static image advertising whoever made the DVD player. I know DVD Shrink killed the menu and made it simply a video... but I don't know what my next step is. I know an all day looping disc is possible, we've got one. We're just sick of it and need fresh material.
You can easily edit navigation of the disk to repeat what you want over and over with tools like IfoEdit(free) or DvdReMake Pro (not free but way easier to use). There is also a support forum for DvdReMake where you may ask for more details: http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19
I think DVDLab Pro has a trial version, if so then you can use this wonderful program. Select movie only (no title) Go to the left-bottom of the screen and open the file you want to use a main source. If it hasn't been demuxed DVDLab Pro will demux it for you (demux means splitting from the original audio and video) Once demuxed, on the asset file you'll see two files one with extension mpv and one with extension mpa. Drag the mpv file to the movie1 tab of the project window (the one immediately above), and do the same with the mpa file. On the very same project window go to the connections tab and you'll see a blue square and a green circle with a movie 1 square. Select movie1 and at the bottom will open a grey rectangle, go to End Link and select movie1 instead of Root. Compile your project and burn! IIRC (don't have DVDLab Pro installed in this PC) that'll make the video play non-stop.
In DVD-lab PRO I get stuck at the second last step. There's only Root to choose from. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/nastajus/endlink.gif IIRC?
I browsed thru the manual and on page 150 I found... There's an image there showing how to draw a connection to itself... Again, I do not have it installed on this PC so I can't test it myself, but I've made looping work easily i remember...
I used the draw tool, drew an arrow to itself, and it loops all day. When you turn it on it goes straight into the movie, and at the end it starts over again. I additionally created a scene selection system. It exists outside this looping, and can be seperately accessed if so desired, but in no way affects looping. I just went into help, followed the PDF file introduction instructions, added on page 150 instructions, and voila.
