avg wont update and cant connect to aol

I need some help on this i have 2 pcs .1st pc wil update fine and also connect to aim and ie .2nd pc ie works fine but will not connect to aim and will not let avg update . please help

 

It looks like a firewall issue on the second pc.
Obviously the networking is there as you say IE works okay.
You could try to disable the firewall, be aware though that AOL are always attempting to scan your PC, they say it is too check for viruses, personally its one of the many reason I won't touch them.

 

Thanks big dk .the only firewall that is installed is windows firewall.even if i disable it i still cant update avg .any ideas

 

thanks i had zone alarm in my pc somewere and got rid of it all seems fine now

You should be able to still run ZA and allow the apps to go through using the program access page.

 

Thanks but it wasnt even running it ... ill just stick with windows firewall
