I am very adept at computers, but this completely puzzles me!

I burn a dvd. It turns out perfect, the menu is beautiful, the picture is amazing, and the sound is DD 2.0! However, an area outside is cut off. I am missing about 10-15 pixels on the top, left, right, and bottom of the screen! It is like this on three different DVD players that always work fine! My friend has the same problem and says it happens when she burns avi files (that's what i burned).

The weird thing is that the DVD plays fine on my computer.

I also burnt it again using a different encoder and software--the same thing happened!

    Please help! Thank you!

    Mayge you've a 4:3 TV and you burned a 16:9 DVD?
On 4:3 TV some screen of this DVD remains hidden, unless you make a 4:3 DVD.

no, that's not it, I burnt the DVD 4:3 aspect ratio, and in addition any 16:9 DVDs still play fine on my player.

    thanks though

Yes i have the same problem...i used ConvertXtoDVD, did you use that for any of yours?

i burnt them as 16:9 and changed them to 4:3 viewing on the TV which seems to sort it out but there was still a bit missing i think and seems a bit stupid to watch in 4:3 when it works fine in 16:9.
