I've bought a DVD player which has usb port and it recognize Divx format.

However, it can't read the movie avi(DVD ripped) file that i downloaded frm internet.

does it means that i have to convert it myself in order to play it through the dvd player?

If that file is a DivX AVI, you just have to burn it on a CD-R (data CD).

If that AVI is XviD you have to do this trick: get Nic's AviC changer (it's installed together XviD, in XviD's directory, and it's a small file, 6 Kb ), open that AVI, change all XviD labels into DivX and do as before.

    Thanks for the reply.

I look into the property of the avi file. The video compression format is FFDS.

Can i do anything to convert it to divx?
