    Hi I'm new and had a question, searched hours on the net trying to find it but just couldn't. I have a full version of Convertxtodvd v3, and several AVI files. I drag the AVI file into convertx, and does its thing, and burns. It says successful, but when i try to play it not only on the DVDplayers in the house, but on my computer as well, It says it cannot play this file type and asks to get a codec. I look into the burnt DVD and i can't even find a video file. What is wrong, and how can i fix it? Thanks

    It does play with VLC, just DL'd and checked that...now the question is how can i actually get it to run on a DVD player? or with windows media player, or something similar to that...I'll post the Files and folders that are on the disc...

    Folders & files:
    Audio_TS -> nothing in here
    Video_TS -> VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB
    --------------------------
    I got these files from an AVI file only, using convertxtodvd...i also have a Sony DRX-840u if that info is needed as well, using a DVD-+RW Maxwell

    Thanks for the help

    just missed you on irc chat mate...

    what asks for a codec?

    it could be the discs used yout players dont like all discs have different dyes and ID codes

    use imgburn or dvd identifier or dvdinfopro to tell us here...

    all your files look ok
