    Hi All,

I am new in this forum. Just joined.

Today I visited a friend's home as he purchased "Monarch Twester". "Monarch" is am Indian Audio / Video Hadrware and Software developer.
    www.monarchvision.com" this is "Monarch"'s website.

I saw the folder where the Twester software installed and found a sub folder as video in that folder found lots of .avi files. I double clicked one of the .avi file and it opened with windows media player 9. The .avi file was an Indian wedding effect file.

I copied 10 such .avi files on my flash drive. After returning to mu home and tried to open those .avi files using windows media player 11, VLC player, Quicktime player, Media player classic all failed to play the file. All the players giving codec error. I think these .avi files using special codec, which was installed in my friend's computer along with the Twester.

I don't know how to attach a file in this forum so I can't attach the file here to get those .avi files playable by someone's help.

Download gspot and load the file into it. It will report exactly what codec it uses. Once you know that you can either ask about it, and post the file type, or have a quick google for a player.
It must be an odd file indeed if vlc doesn't want to play it.

    Thanks varnull

I installed the gspot and found that those .avi files encoded with some tv50 codec. Also googled but not found the codec. Please give me a download link for the codec. Thanks

    Hi, All

Why you all are silent? Please help me to find out the tv50 codec and DGA1 codec on the net.

Another thing I want to know, how to backup codecs that is installed.

By which software I can do codec backup?

    Thanks
