avi files to dvdr

    hey, i was wondering whats the best software to copy multiple avi files to a dvdr to playback on a divx dvd player?

    You don't need any special software to do this.

    Just burn the avi files to a blank DVD as a plain data disc.

    If your hardware player can play divx files, then it will show you a menu with the filenames, a bit like windows explorer, and you can select what to play with your menu keys on the remote.


    HANDY TIPS

    (1) If you want the files to sit in a certian order (if they're episodes of a series, for example) then you should make sure that they are alphabetically ordered or, better still, begin each filename with 1, 2, 3 etc.

    (2) The display on your hardware DVD player may well only show you the first 8 characters of the filename - make sure that they are named such that you will be able to identify them with the first 8 characters,

    S1x01-Numb3rs
    S1x02-Numb3rs
    *good*

    Numb3rs-Series1-Episode1
    Numb3rs-Series1-Episode2
    *bad*
