avi files

    hi was wonering if you could help, i recently purchased a LACE external dvd drive, the programme that came with it was roxio, i use its drag and drop option to burn some AVI movie files to dvd, they coied fine but then when i put the disk back in the drive they won't play or even open, is there anyway i can open them, it comes up with a message saying the files may be courrupted or not supported by windows

    Try with some other burning software, like Nero.

    hi sarafitz welcome to AD. If i am correct I assume you want to burn the avi files to disc to be able to watch on your home pc. If that is the case you must convert them first to dvd compliant files.
