NEWBIE here and hoping for help. I have a 703mb movie i wanted to burn. I use a cd burner. How do i burn this movie? I do have a dvd player that i have watched movies before. I am using nero and its telling me i need CD-R/RW.. I have burned before and no problems but now i have a bigger file..i did go to options and clicked over burn. I know I am new but i do need some help here..step by step preferred.. sorry don't shout if you think this is a silly question.
I think you will not be able to burn this to a CD. I assume the 703mb movie is in AVI format, which when converted will probably blow out to around 2..to 3 gig which is DEFINATELY too large for a CD, you will need a DVD.
Thanks gwendolin for your fast reply. Guess my next purchase will be a dvd burner. Too much time has been wasted trying to do the impossible. Many , many thanks.
you can convert it to a vcd(mpeg1) but will need to use 2 or 3 cds to cover the whole project. Not really worth the time considering the amount of time you spend on this ptoject when a dvd burner can be bought for about $60.oo aus. Generally if your project converts to about 1.5 gig then you will need 3 cds to cover it.The 1st 700meg will go on the 1st cd, the next 700meg on the 2nd cd and finally the last 100 meg on the 3rd cd.Its a real pain to swap the disc s over but it can be done. You could try tmpgenc encoder if you wanted to go this way as it can handle a vcd output.
