Hi I'm new here and I was searching this site for a couple of days by now. I found some answers for my problems but I can not solve one problem.
I have some .avi movies (mainly divx4/open divx/ as G-spot said) and I'd like to write to DVD to view on my DVD player on TV. For this I have to convert it to mpeg 'cause my DVD player won't play VCD, SVCD or .avi files! When I try to convert the .avi to mpeg1 or mpeg2 or even to DVD it starts to have vertcal black and green lines through wich I can see the video but not too well. I tried more programs too thinking it might be something with the program. I've tried WinAVI, WinMpeg, Super DVD creator and they all make the same problem! I have Tmpeg too but that can't open the file (it got frozen). I also tried MovieStar 5 wich would not give these lines but after 10 hours of converting I didn't get not even till the midle of the file!!!

So I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong or am I having some codec problems or what! I hope someone can help!! Please write if you have an idea!!!

    Thanx in advance!

Use DivXtoDvD for your conversion and Nero to burn the compilation.
