The file cannot exeed 3 hours(180min) if audio format is Linear PCM. ---------------------------- Then i tried CBR Mpeg-1 Layer II audio (MP2) ..and when i have it converted into about a 4gb MPEG file..it has no sound when i play it. the original AVIs sound works.. can some1 help please? Thanx
Firstly you should allways use "Mpeg-1 Layer-2" audio over LPCM because LPCM takes up way too much Disk Space, you should only select LPCM if you are Planning on encodeing it to Dolby AC3 which is the best Format for DVD.... Secondly you should allways Decompress the audio in your AVI files before encodeing them because most Downloaded movies have VBR Mp3 audio which encoders Like Tmpgenc can Not read or if they do read it they Produce out of Sync audio..... If you PM me with your Email address I can send you a Small tool that is used for decompressing the audio in AVI Files so you don"t have Problems Like these when encodeing to Mpeg-2/DVD.... Cheers
