Does any one know of a program that allows you to play AVI/MPEG files on a Normal GameCube using the BBA or a DVDR( I don't have the Panasonic Q Edition, the normal GameCube)

The reason why I want to do this because I want to be able to stream movies to my big screen tv that's in my bed room and I don't wont to have to start disconeting and conecting my PS2 and having to move stuff around in order to play streaming video to my room. I do have an xbox, but i don't want to mod it or buy that $$$ play back kit. Also I don't want to have to start disconecting it also, Plus i don't have alot of room in my room and the GC fits perfectly.

yea u can use some linux thing to play AVI files from a boot disk or on the memory card thats whaty i do but on the boot disk you can only read 1.4 gb of data so its not really that practical on the SD card adapter it can read up to 2gb but its really choppy, so all in all gamecube isnt good for video play back

What program is it called and do I have to be running linux on my pc. I have tried to load the GC linux, but it freezes up at the SDLoad Screen when I select it, But everything else that is on the sd card works perfect(GCOS, Tetris, GCARS, PSLOAD.

Id suggest saving the hassle of a 1.4 gb video restriction and go and buy a second hand dvd player for like 10 or 20 bucks remember ittl only read 1.4 so you wont even be able to watch half a movie. Otherwise youll have to piss round with choppng it onto seperate dvd's

I know how to rip DVDs to 700MB AVI files and I want to be able to stream the Video to my GC wich it wouldn't mind putting in my bedroom and I don't won't to move my PS2 up to my Room because I don't won't to have to disconnect all the cables (plus I don't have alot of room)

I already tried searching for one and all I get is links to here going to my own post, links about factor 5 company using divx in some GC games, and a lot of dirty websites (I sometimes get distracted, LOL. Plus I don't want to take apart my GC again and start ordering a different top for the GC. Also I don't want to try using full size media because the GC drive motor was made for little discs, not full sized ones which could burn out the motor( the full sized discs could cause to much work on the motor.
