Rather frustrating problem here. I have a fresh install of XP w/ Windows Media Center 2005. I have an AVI file placed in 'my video' folder. The file is there when in Media Center but the video does not play, only the sound. However, it plays fine when just in XP alone. I have tried installing a few codecs (K-Lite codec pack, DDF codec) but still no joy. Can anyone help???
Hi, Have you tried reading this http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_play_avi.cfm. To watch avi movies I use divx play and ffdshow (both free and found at afterdawn affiliated site filepedia) with windows media center and no problems with playback at all.
