Alright, so my PC has all of the video codecs in the world it seems. Everything from Xvid, DivX, CCC Codec Pack, KLite, the list goes on and on.

I have a bunch of AVI files on my PC. I want to watch them on my Television using my Xbox360. I CAN watch them on the Xbox by navigating to the video folders etc, but NOT when Windows Media Center is being used. I completely don't understand this. My PC can play AVI files, my Xbox can play AVI files, but when I use Windows Media Center on the Xbox, the files no longer work/play. Is there a way to force/fix Windows Media Center to actually play my content or do I have to convert everything into WMV or something (I'd rather not).

I need to have Windows Media Center on the Xbox because my house is filled with people afraid of technology (including Xbox's) and having them browse into the unknown world of Xbox Menu's and navigating through multiple folders is something I doubt they'll sign on to. Having this GUI user friendly interface is something they will probably not mind figuring out. If anyone wouldn't mind helping me figure this out, I'd appreciate it.

I just said screw it after wasting a lot of time on this and just bought a WD TV HD Media Player. It plays nearly every format and works perfectly.
