Hi, I am new here and i'm having trouble copying Avi to DVD. I have tried a few different methods. I am using Nerovision Express to change the Avi to DVD and also to burn it. I burn it at 2x to ensure no errors and it copies fine although the disc won't play on any of my 4 DVD players (2 of which play any other DVD-R etc.)

Can anyone help me or advise on what program I can use to rectify this? Thanks.

What I should of said is that the DVD does play but it jumps and skips like mad.

you may like to try booktyping them to DVD-ROM, most players accept this format. Also the skipping can be caused by using poor quality media such as Memorex.

If it loads and plays (sorta) then the conversion part is good. Like mentioned it's probably a media problem since your burning at a slow speed.

What kind of media are you using?
Try and stay away from Memorex, TDK, Optodisc, Princo
Try and use Verbaitm, Sony, TK

Thanks guys. I think the problem is probably my media. I'll have to get some decent DVD-R's. Cheers.
