    Hey guys,
I just reformatted my computer, installed everything again, but now I have problems when playing avi files. The image freezes or slows down a lot, and the sound isn't synchronized with the image. I've only installed the divx codec like I always do, I could always play my files with it, except for now. I also tried installing a codec pack, but nothing, so I uninstalled them. I have windows media player 8, upgraded to 10, but the problem persisted. I've tried reducing the video acceleration on the player, but nothing. I have a Pentium 4 @ 1.6 ghz, 768 MB of RAM, and my video card is an Nvidia GeForce 5200 with 128 MB, with the latest drivers, so I don't think that it's a hardware problem. Now this only happens with AVI files, I've opened some mpeg's and they play perfectly.
I'd really appreciate any kind of help, thanks.

Within the last day or so I've started to suffer annoying lag and video freeze as well... right after performing a Microsoft update.
