First, I'm a newbie to AD and hope I haven't hijacked this thread or asking the same question that has been answered.

Anyways, I bought a dvd player that plays divx and avi formatted disc. I started backing up my dvds as an iso image and now I have converted many to avi format (especially for my kids and their movies). Now to my question... I have these movies that are avi format and exactly how do I burn them to a dvd or cdr? I haven't bought any blanks yet because I didn't know what to use. Many movies are under 700mb some are not. I have nero6 to burn. Do I make a data disc and add the avi file or something else? Thanks for the help

You can burn the AVI files onto CD or DVD - whichever you find most convenient.
They are burned as simple data files using the likes of ImgBurn.
Run ImgBurn and select 'Write files/folders to disc'.
Browse for the files or drag them onto the window.
Select the destination burner and click the green button.
