    Hey..

Have been downloading AVI files for like years now, and this is the first time i have ever had a problem. It's a DVD rip, i can tell by the quality, but when i play it in anything but VLC player there is no sound. And it comes up with this error message >> This AVI file was not preparet for sequential reading, the AVI Splitter will now let the default one handle it.. bla bla bla..

As i say, it plays fine in vlc with sound etc everything in time, but it wont convert and burn so i can play it in my dvd player, as per the other software players the image is spot on, but no sound.

Any advice on how to re interleave this file if thats whats needed to get the sound back?

    Thanks

    Wooop

Try this. Open the file in Virtualdub.
    Select video/direct stream copy
    audio/direct stream copy
    File/save avi

Hello - Virtualdub 1.8.1 works fine in Vista.
