hi! im trying to play a .avi file. the audio works but there's no video! damn frustrating!! any1 have ANY idea what the prob is? tried opening it with real player and windows media player. the messages i get: RealPlayer The video for this file cannot be played. Would you like to check to see if there is an update available for the video? i click "yes", then it says it needs to download new software to play the clip. i click "ok". it searches, then says "there is no software available". hmmm WMP error downloading codec. then it just plays audio without video. any ideas!? thanx!
It sounds like you're just missing the correct codec for the video that you have. Run the file through Gspot and it will tell you what codec it uses, then just download and install the codec, and that should fix your problem.
