I've been experiencing some problems with some avi movie files. Its a movie 700mb and when i play it with media player, real or any other program i can't fast forward or rewind. Is this a codec problem or is the fact that the file is too large?

    please help me

    1. "Being too large" is only a problem if you're running an older computer

    2. It might be that the movie doesnt have keyframes done properly

    1. Start VirtualDub
    2. File --> Open, select your file, check "Ask for extended options....", click Open
    3. Check rederive keyframe flags
    4. When it finally opens, Video --> Direct Stream Copy
    5. File --> Save As AVI
:) Now your movie has keyframes
