    Hello
Last night I installed the Haali Media Splitter and the FFDShow so I could play MP4 files. I've taken it out, and now Media player will not play or recognize avi files. How do I fix it to play again? It was playing fine before I installed the 2 previously mentioned programs.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thxs

Reinstall FFDshow. It's safe, uninstalls cleanly, no harm in leaving it in.

As regards to what you had before and what happened to it, only you will know.
Perhaps you had previously installed a codec pack, or the xvid/divx packages.

I did try that, and it didn't work. After some reading, I did a system restore. That worked like a charm.
    Thanks for the suggestion though.

System restore is good if you can catch it within a week or so.
    Glad to hear it work.
