I have several videos in .avi format. I converted to dvd (Video_ts) using WinAvi. The picture quality was poor. Is there a better way to put .avi's on a DVD? Do I have to convert first? I was going to make a VCD but to use all my files it would take multiple CD's. I would like to use only 1 CD or DVD. Any suggestions? TIA
OK...Heres the deal, as far as I know. I have traveled this path before, and I was not happy with the results. When you try to convert these avi's, think of the resolution. Sure it looks OK on your computer, but think about how much bigger your TV is! It has to use the same amount of pixels so it just stretches the crap out of this image, which is where your bad quality comes from. Now, for the fitting it to 1 DVD/CD. In whatever program you are using, it should have an option to split file every xxx MB. Just put this 1 MB less than the media you are going to use. ie, 700 MB CD - Split every 699 MB. I have not been able to find a better way then to just get files in a higher resolution. Hope I helped you out!! Razor
