Hello everyone, I am sorry of this is covered somewhere else, I have spent a few hours looking on the forum but can seem to find the solution to my particular problem. I have a ONN divx dvd player hooked up to my tv and it plays avi files burnt to disc no problem. I have some AVI files that play perfectly on my computer, video and sound are fine. Some of them play perfectly when burnt as data files on a dvd on my dvd player but some of them have no audio. My dyd player had a usb stick slot so I added the files to a usb stick and tried to play them, again video but no audio. When I put the stick with the silent file back into my computer it plays with sound. Any ideas please??? Thank you in advance.
Compare the files using GSpot. Drag an avi file onto the window and look at the audio stream (lower left) I would expect the avi files to have something like mp3 or ac3. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm
