    Uncompress the audio with virtualdub

    VirtualDUB
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdub.cfm

    1. open the avi file in it
    2. click video - direct stream copy
    3. click audio - full processing mode
    4. click audio - compression. select no compression pcm and click ok.
    5. click file - save avi

the uncompressed audio in the saved file should work better with TMPGEnc

let me know how you get on!

A better solution would be to look into DVD2SVCD. That will have no problem with ac sound!!

A lot can only play VCD!! SVCD is kinda newish!! The general differences are that svcd is mpeg-2 and vcd is mpeg-1, also, svcd works with higher birates and can be VBR!!
