hi i got an avi file but i can't get the sound to work. i got gspot file and it tells me that the sound file is mp3. please tell me how i get the sound file to work. i am using TMPGenc.
Uncompress the audio with virtualdub VirtualDUB http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdub.cfm 1. open the avi file in it 2. click video - direct stream copy 3. click audio - full processing mode 4. click audio - compression. select no compression pcm and click ok. 5. click file - save avi the uncompressed audio in the saved file should work better with TMPGEnc let me know how you get on!
cheers for that it works! however i now have another video which uses ac3 sound. God this is a pain, ive tried to follow the guide on ac3 to vcd but im having loads of problems with virtualdubmod it won't let me open it saying i need .dlls where to i get these files?
cheers but my dvd player says it can only play vcd, not svcd. can dvd players play svcd? whats the difference?
A lot can only play VCD!! SVCD is kinda newish!! The general differences are that svcd is mpeg-2 and vcd is mpeg-1, also, svcd works with higher birates and can be VBR!!
